How we love is a great mystery that unravels slowly as we practice it. When we are young, our focus is on being loved. Hopefully, if we are growing wiser as we age, love is increasingly about giving love. There is a “pop psychology” book I hoped might be a good framework for a day camp for some of the grandkids about love. It turned out to be some of the best fun so far this summer. I’ll be telling you all about our Love Camp in this issue. It yielded some big “aha” moments, more sensitive behavior, and large doses of generosity and gratitude. Although, as you’ll see, there was a lot of doing, the best part is always the discussions. Please take a peek on our dive into The Five Love Languages. If you’d like any of the hand-outs for a Love Camp of your own, please reply to my email address. I’m happy to share. In the meantime — be love. — Mary May P.S. I made the girls a little memory book about our Love Camp. This newsletter is essentially pages from that booklet. Enjoy!
