GRANNY’S GOOEY BROWNIE LOVE

Sometimes even grown-ups want some extra delicious love from their mom. Usually that happens when they are very hungry, very tired, or very sick. I consider brownies to among the greatest of all bar cookies. The occasion for this particular brownie love shown in the photos was a sad day when illness and injury befell my daughters. They are moms too, so they know how important it is to give and get love when your immune system is faltering. Granny and Brownie Love to the rescue! Remember, though, Brownie Love is not just a healing aid, it is perfect for celebrations of the highest order. (In fact, I hear many people frequently order brownies when they get high). If I’ve learned one thing in life, it’s this:

GRANNY’S FUDGE BROWNIE LOVE

For less than $1.50 in most places, you can buy the Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie mix (18.3 oz. box). From the box to the oven in less than 5 minutes, my baking friends!


You will need:
• 3 Tablespoons Water
• 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
• 2 Eggs

(For cakelike brownies, use 3 tablespoons water, 1/2 cup vegetable oil and 3 eggs).

Directions:
1. Heat oven as directed on the box. Grease bottom of pan.
2. Stir Brownie Mix, water, oil and eggs in medium bowl until well blended. Spread in pan.
3. Bake as directed on the box or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean; cool.


Stir in an ingredient:

To make the brownies even more special, try 1/2 cup of crushed mini pretzels or potato chips. For a fruity chew, try 1/2-1 cup of dried cherries or cranberries, or coconut. And you can always add more chocolate or 1/2-1 c of chopped candy bars.
