Writing Challenge | Ransom Note Poetry

  • Google Calendar ICS

I have prepared a worksheet to help you learn how to write ransom note poetry. I like anything that involves paper, scissors, and glue. I think we will have loads of fun with this one. Maybe we can even frame your Ransom Note poem and give it as a gift to someone. The poems will be archived in the Writing by Kids collection to share with other poets and readers. We will also publish a selected group in the Christmas issue of the Ladybug magazine. I hope you love Ransom Note poems as much as I love you. - Miss Ladybug

Writing Challenge | Acrostic Poetry

  • Google Calendar ICS

I have prepared a worksheet to help you learn how to write acrostic poetry. I think it is the cutest little poetry form. I just can’t read enough of them. Just wait until you see how lovely they look. When you feel like you have the hang of it, you can enter this month’s Gratitude Poetry Contest with an acrostic poem about being thankful. The poems will be archived in the Writing by Kids collection to share with other poets and readers. We will also publish a selected group in the Thanksgiving issue of the Ladybug magazine. I hope you love acrostic poems as much as I love you. - Miss Ladybug

Writing Challenge | Story Structure

  • Google Calendar ICS

I have prepared a worksheet to help you learn the traditional way of structuring a story. Although I would always encourage you to find your own way on things like this, it is nice to understand how much literature is organized. You have until October 22 to submit a tale about Ugly Bugly the witch-poet, using a traditional story structure. The stories will be archived in the Writing by Kids collection to share with other poets and readers. We will also publish a selected group in the November issue of the Ladybug magazine. I hope you love stories as much as I love you. - Miss Ladybug
