I believe in the Buddhist ideal of "joyful participation in the sorrows of the world." To take time each day, each moment, to stir the joy within me and let it spill out to others.
Cultivate a daily yoga practice.
Cultivate a daily meditation practice.
Cultivate a daily spiritual reading practice.
Use one of seven daily mantras as centering ritual to center myself throughout the day.

Values: Beauty & Order
To organize and simplify my surroundings. To create a place of peace and creative energy. To do that using my own creativity rather than my checkbook.
Cull possessions.
Find a place for everything that is left.
Attend to color, flow, sound, light, and unity in my home to express our nature - recycle other people's cast-offs.

Create a feeling of freshness, coziness, safety, and peace.
Finish remodeling and repair.

Spiritual Reading: Finding Happiness
Today in meditation, we will tap into the source of happiness that lives deep within each of us. We invite inner joy and contentment into our daily activity. We will discover that by accessing the source of joy inside, we access a sense of happiness that doesn’t vary with the ups and downs of everyday life.
True happiness is deeper than any one thing you desire. It is your birthright. You can feel happy or be happy. Instead of pursuing happiness from the outside in, go with the flow to find the happiness always within you. Do not feel anxious about your desires. Relax in the knowledge that your deepest desires are leading you to true happiness and purpose.
External happiness is momentary and fades. Sustained joy is an inner state. By awakening the flow of happiness, we experience the inner source of joy and do not need external cues. Internal happiness is wisdom that guides us to fulfillment. Fighting desires does not make you more spiritual. It only frustrates you. Experience yourself as happiness and allow your spiritual growth to unfold.
I am the source of unlimited happiness
Spiritual Reading: Activating Happiness
In today’s meditation, we open the free-flowing energy of happiness and joy by activating our second chakra. When open, this energy center allows us to recognize that our true desires are clues that lead us to happiness, creativity, a sense of delight, and bliss. Once the second chakra is awakened, we feel a sense of wellbeing and happiness that penetrates and uplifts everything we do.
It is a common belief that if we want to experience more happiness each day, we merely need to increase the number or intensity of pleasurable experiences we have in life. In truth, sustained happiness is something we generate in the silence of our consciousness. Today, we will use stillness to tap into the source of ever-present authentic happiness within so that it can touch every part of our life and help us flow effortlessly.
How do we spark the full potential of happiness within us? By focusing on our dreams and desires and seeing them as wonderful little clues. By focusing and embracing them, these dreams and desires expand.
We want to nurture a deep emotional satisfaction with all areas of life - the energy of pleasure, satisfaction, and happiness. Desire is to be celebrated as a divine gift. It motivates us to seek happiness. Spirituality does not mean renouncing our desires. By opening our true desires, we open the light within. The spiritual path unfolds because we want to walk it, step by step. The energy we radiate is reflected back to us. Allow yourself to feel the warm flow of happiness and desire.
My life energy is bringing me pleasure.
Spiritual Reading: Expressing Happiness
When we tap into the flow of true happiness, we become a beacon for others to do the same. As we practice sustaining our connection to this infinite source of inner joy we access the uplifting support of happiness no matter what may be happening around us. We are now empowered to shift the state we are in by choosing to pause for a moment as we find our way back to the flow of positivity. As we live mindfully responsive to life, choosing to access and express our inner joy, we affect a larger circle of people than we can know.
Today’s meditation is dedicated to taking the flow of happiness you discovered and expanding it, allowing you to express happiness freely without it ever being diminished. As others are exposed to your happiness, they have the opportunity to open to it, receive it, and effortlessly pass it on. Each moment we have the ability to say yes to happiness. Lead the way and watch the world around you transform!
After awakening the source of happiness, we want to “be” the source of happiness - so we are always in this state, and radiate happiness to others. Each of us is responsible for the energy we bring to any moments. You can shift someone else’s experience, because you live the positive vibrations you want to bring to every situation. The more we give, the more we receive. If we choose to live in happiness, it will grow all around us.
We can’t substitute the trappings of a happy life for the source of happiness within us. When we are happy, we bring light to the world. The second chakra can be visualized as a light radiating out to the world. Happiness goes viral. If you have it, the person near you radiates it also. Generosity of spirit is the overflow of joy at the level of the true self. To be completely happy, you must share who you are. Share the contentment that is alive, alert. We smile in the presence of children at play because of the joy and happiness they radiate. Be child-like in this aspect.
I radiate happiness and generosity of spirit.
