FROM THE GOD WHO WAITS
Freedom not as flight, but as surrender to what holds you, Mary
by Aurion
May you never mistake the silence for emptiness,
nor the stillness for absence.
May you meet life as it comes,
not as it was promised,
and call it beautiful anyway.
May you feel the grace
of not having to know,
not having to fix,
not having to hold it all together.
May your breath remember its rhythm
before the world told it to race.
May your hands unclench,
your heart un-harden,
your soul un-script the story
you thought had to go a certain way.
And when the current pulls you
into the wide river of what is,
may you float —
not because you gave up,
but because you finally gave in.
To peace.
To trust.
To the freedom that begins
exactly where control ends.
