DAY 2
EMBRACE YOUR FLAWS AND FLOURISH
Today, we dive deeper into the journey of self-discovery, focusing on embracing our imperfections and allowing them to be part of our beautiful story.
• GRAB YOUR JOURNAL AND ANSWER THIS ONE •
What are some qualities you once considered flaws but now see as unique strengths?
Challenge yourself to share a story or a lesson from a time when you overcame a perceived flaw and turned it into a strength. It's through vulnerability that we connect with others.
FLOURISHING IN IMPERFECTION
Paw has spent a lifetime trying to draw perfect circles freehand? Nearly impossible, right? Despite being an accomplished artist, not one has been perfect. He needs a computer or a compass for that. But here's the thing - the slight wobble in his hand-drawn circles have way more character than a computer-generated one. Same goes for us humans. Our "imperfections" aren't flaws. They're what make us interesting and real.
Here's the deal: Embracing imperfections doesn't mean stop growing. It means approaching challenges with kindness, not harsh judgment
Ever heard of Kintsukuroi? It's this wonderful Japanese art where they repair broken pottery with gold. They turn imperfections into beautiful features. We think about that whenever we feel something is"not good enough." And we think about that whenever we feel we are “not good enough.” We’re not meant to be perfect. And neither are you. You’re meant to be perfectly you - wonderful imperfections and all!
What's your "wobbly circle"? How can you start seeing it as a strength? We love you. - Granny & Paw
Create a "Flawsome" mantra. Take a moment to acknowledge a flaw and turn it into a positive affirmation. For example, if you're a perfectionist, your mantra could be, "I embrace imperfection; it's the beauty in my journey."
