Welcome the Elf Party - 2017
December 6, 2017
In our family, we officially launch the Christmas season with a “Welcome the Elf” party. He is a creepy little dude named “Seven” who surveils children for compromising behavior which can be used for future leverage. He also moonlights for the NSA.
He is a $5.00 version of “The Elf on the Shelf.” His tummy is filled with Hershey Kisses which are accessed by unscrewing his head. Each day after school, the kids search the house for the elf and tell him a wonderful, kind thing they did that day, thereby earning an elf kiss. (I sneak his kisses when no one is looking because I rebel against authority figures).
This year we had a great little party. After some yummy food, each of the kids got their personal letter from the elf. We hung ornaments on the dining room tree and arranged the creche. Then it was time for the Elf Hunt to find where he was hiding! This year, Presley found him concealed in the pantry closet.
Then came the even more fun part which I will tell you about tomorrow.
