”We saw this compelling carving/painting at a local Exhibition Opening with Ada and Morgan. Look closely.It contains the images of almost 30 animals hidden in the curls and knurls of the wood. We were delighted to learn it became the cover of a children’s book named A Friendly Tree by Joan White and Warren Gerds and illustrated by White. It features a story and 170 images of Wisconsin wildlife that readers can search to find. Warren was so taken with Ada’s delight of his work, he gifted her with her own copy of the book.” - Mary
