How do we cultivate gratitude in times of hardship?
THE SUM OF MY MOMENTS
There is a story
the sum of my moments
filled with ecstasy
and horror.
The most exciting part
is not the pain,
nor the joy
but watching myself
struggle,
forgive,
cherish,
deny,
make amends,
share,
rejoice,
try again.
The product of true ecstasy
and true horror
is the same:
GRATITUDE.
For life, love, loss
For my story.
Gratitude
is what makes the ending
a happy one.
