Captain's Log Restart

I had a long dry patch of time where I abandoned my Captain’s Log. It has been a harrowing interlude of covid, Mollie’s cancer, and Kallie’s traumas. Through it all I have gotten sadder, more isolated, and more introspective. Instead of looking to the world for answers, I am now looking inside myself. It has led me back to this page and an attempt to reconnect with writing my thoughts and appreciation. We’ll see if the bustle and burdens crush it, but for now, here I am.
