Bone Baking Day

It was going to be a very happy birthday for Presley and Lilly’s dog. His name is Reggie, after Reggie White, a famous Green Bay Packer defensive end. Both of the Reggie’s are heroes in our eyes. They are kind and hard working and never give up.

The kids wanted to do something special so Granny had a puppy perfect plan. They decided they would bake Reggie some homemade dog bone cookies.

You have to measure and mix all the things together. It is very stinky so you might feel like you will puke. We can’t imagine how babies eat that stinky meat baby food. After it’s all mixed together, you have to roll it flat.

Then you take a dog bone cookie cutter and cut out each cookie. Granny bought her dog bone cookie cutter at Halloween time.

Use a spatula to move the cookies onto a baking sheet. We didn’t spray the sheet and they didn’t stick, so don’t worry. Aren’t they adorable? Reggie will be so happy.

Here’s how they look after they are done baking. You just let them cool and then put them in an air-tight container. And they aren’t one bit stinky when they are done baking.

Doesn’t Reggie look curious? Maybe he can smell them inside the box.

Now he has to get ready for his birthday party!
